- This position is responsible for implementing the Metso Dealer strategy. The incumbent will appoint and subsequently manage new Dealers in accordance with the new Metso strategy.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies, in line with Metso's Dealer strategy, associated with sales & marketing, pre & after sales support, parts business development and Oceania Dealer interface.
- Evaluate and appoint, where approved, a suitable and sustainable distribution channel.
- Manage the development of all areas of pre and post sales support, ensuring the distribution channel becomes as self-sufficient as possible.
- Ensure training is conducted for the distributors in all aspects of pre and post product support.
- Manage the distribution channel accounts, including inventory, credit control, financing etc.
- Provide regular reports to Senior Management, detailing the dealer's performance.
- Acting as an information link between the local Metso organisation and the distribution channel.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent local technical/engineering qualification with relevant experience.
- 8-10 years capital equipment sales experience from one or more of the following industries: Construction, Minerals Processing, Heavy Engineering, Aggregates, Mining, Equipment Distribution and/or the allied service.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel & Word.
- Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to present information effectively, both written and orally.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to think outside of the square.
