Central Visayas - Cebu
Responsibilities:
- Administer system backups and recoveries.
- Rack, stack, build, and deploy new hardware including servers, disk arrays, network hardware, and security technologies.
- Manage system patching policies, utilities, and implementation of patches.
- Monitor system load, availability, security access privileges, and system configuration policies to ensure conformity to existing policies and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Ensure server hardware, network connectivity, data storage, and operating systems are functioning optimally.
- Install software as requested.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems.
- Participates in the researching of network / server hardware and software.
- Monitor and implement work items through ISR process.
- Recommend system improvements to Senior Systems Administrators and the Infrastructure Services Manager.
- Conduct other recurring operational tasks as defined by Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure that SOP and systems documentation is up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Cebu.
- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer - Hardware or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with data center hardware including enterprise-class servers, enclosures, racks, data stores, networks, and security devices.
- Knowledge and hands-on expertise with data storage technologies (DASDI, SAN, NAS, fiber channel networks, iSCSI.)
- In-depth knowledge and working expertise with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Intricate knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Server operating systems.
- Hands-on working experience with Linux and UNIX operating systems.
- Knowledge and experience with system monitoring toolsets such as MOM, SMS, SCCM, Zabbix, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL databases, Microsoft Clustering Services, and load balanced configurations.
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Work effectively on a team.
- Travel will occasionally be required.
- Overtime will occasionally be required.
- A rotating on-call shift will be required.
