A global leader in insurance and reinsurance is looking for the best talent to fill the position of Head of Bancassurance at its Indonesian subsidiary, which focuses on life insurance. The company is seeking visionary potential candidates with innovative ideas to head the bancassurance division. The successful applicant, who will have product development experience as well as highly commercial and analytical skills, is expected to be strategic, ambitious and results driven.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop the company’s bancassurance portfolio and marketing strategy in conjunction with all distribution channels
- Liaise with related government and/or regulatory institutions in regards to product compliance
- Prepare and update an annual budget and plan of activity based on market opportunities and established strategies
- Develop new products and identify alternative distribution systems, as well as promoting an increased awareness of bundled products
- Develop relationships with all peer groups within the major producing firms, maintain contact with competitors as part of our market awareness and be familiar with regulatory entities that affect their position, including trade associations and government bodies
- Develop systems and procedural enhancements designed to maximize efficiency, reduce costs and control acquisition costs
- Complete quarterly reports
- Develop and train departmental staff
- Special ad-hoc projects or requirements
- Risk assessment, including new business reinsurance negotiations and developing renewal retention strategies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (min.) in related field
- Eight years’ experiences in bancassurance industry, insurance or banking preferred
- Deep knowledge of banking segment and provide strong business development approach
- Sound experience in dealing with corporate business
- Sound knowledge of life insurance industry
- Project management and processing skills are mandatory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A high level of drive, energy and personal commitment to success
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to package and present ideas in a persuasive manner
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong English, including written
