Responsibilities:
- Assist head of legal at Colombo for the sector to advice and guide the operating management in Indonesia in managing and mitigating the exposure of its business interests
- Wide exposure on commercial law in Indonesia
- Advice the operating management on the impact of all statutes affecting the plantation industry
- Exposure in a leading law firm and/or in multinational organizations, experience in undertaking commercial contracts covering multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to advice the management on ways and means of mitigating and managing legal exposures.
- Liaise and network with external legal counsels, authorities and regulators, and will need to demonstrate exposure and experience in coordinating with legal experts.
- Hands on experiences on land development
- Excellent command of the English, able to work in a computerized environment and exhibit very high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree or master's degree/post graduate degree in Law or professional
- Required skill(s): commercial law, land law, conflict resolution
- Required language(s): English proficiency (both spoken and written), computer literacy (Ms. Office)
- At least 5 - 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position whilst additional qualifications in related palm oil plantation will be an added advantage
