Responsibilities:
- Write compelling content for proposal documents and presentations;
- Edit, proofread and review proposals and other messaging materials as needed;
- Develop persuasive and accurate initial drafts for commonly asked proposal questions and assist with the overall development and maintenance of the Standard Content Library for proposals;
- Write and edit marketing materials to make them more persuasive and easy to comprehend;
- Edit for tone of voice, messaging, removal of jargon, and adherence to internal style guide;
- Interview staff to assist with the write-up of marketing materials and proposals;
- Carry out research, internally and externally as required, to support writing development; and
- Work with the design team on graphical concepts to convey messages (e.g. tables, charts, diagrams).
Requirements:
- A relevant degree of journalism, marketing, communications, public relations or other related fields;
- A minimum of 7 years’ related working experience in copywriting, public relations, journalism or related fields with solid experience in proposal writing, marketing writing, and / or business writing;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Able to collaborate effectively with project teams and other colleagues;
- Capable to edit different materials with limited supervision;
- Experience in interviewing and working with other staff to develop persuasive text;
- Acute attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy;
- Creative approach and an interest in graphical communication;
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, and escalate issues in a timely manner; and
- Strong skills in MS Word are required.
