Monroe Consulting Group is working on behalf of a premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets. The company is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its telecom research team for their business in Indonesia. A background in the telecommunications industry working for a telecoms operator or equipment vendor; or experience working for a market research firm would be an advantage. A sound knowledge and understanding of IT and telecoms market, products and services are essential. The Senior Research Executive is responsible for tracking and information collection for the networking and fixed line telecoms market and produce ongoing market analysis and reports. This will involve primary research, including interviewing telcos and vendors, data tracking and analysis, as well as secondary research, including scanning and analysing financial reports, press releases, government statistics and media reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (min.), preferably in business, marketing, economics, statistics, information systems or engineering
- Two to three years’ experience (min.) in similar position preferred
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Detail-driven
- English language, both spoken and written
- Must be able to write intelligent analysis
- Strong desk research skills
- Knowledge of ICT markets and experience within a market research firm will be advantageous
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Thorough and meticulous but still able to work efficiently
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent time management skills – able to multitask
- Ability to demonstrate initiative – look for opportunities or new approaches
