- The primary role of the Cost Control is to provide support to functional departments within the company. This includes the production and interpretation of timely and accurate financial results, budgets, forecasts, cost management, cost control & audit and etc.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze of operating costing, monthly operating results against budget.
- Do cost control, audit, monitoring and analysis including COGS and Operating Cost for HO & Outlet
- Contributing to the achievement of strict financial controls in all areas.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements
- Contributing to the development of the management accounting system.
- Work proactively with peers within the department to ensure that data sent from the department is validated, timely and approved by the relevant personnel and in turn that data used from external departments is approved by the relevant authority in those areas.
- Providing internal financial information and support to management
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.
- Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.
- It is expected, that cost controller is fully aware of the company standard with regard to purchasing/receiving/issuing and administration as outlined in the Food and Beverage manual.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be good in English Language in spoken and written form.
- Must have Computer skills Windows XP, Word, Excel, Ms. Outlook. Additional Stock Control System, Winzip.
- Must have good knowledge of food and beverage items, consumable items. Preferably specializing in Food & Beverage (F&B) Industry Services or equivalent
- Must be knowledgeable in checking quality of goods and in working with supply schedules.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control and internal audit principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Degree in Finance or Accounting, five years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
