- The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for achieving strategic and financial objectives by selling Financial News products to media companies (newspapers, TV broadcasters, Radio stations, Internet Portals and Mobile content) in the South Asia and Southeast Asia region.
- The successful candidate will be championing and providing proactive leadership in promoting the offerings, seeking and developing new business and driving competitive sales opportunities. He/She will establish excellent relationships with senior management of key clients and distributors, but will at the same time develop leads and opportunities into clients.
- It is also envisaged that the role will involve a certain degree of business development work in Indonesia to explore media business opportunities there which may not be limited purely to selling news agency products and services. The position is based in Jakarta.
The Candidate:
- Proven track record in sales and pipeline management with excellent results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Bahasa Indonesia are essential. Chinese language abilities will be looked upon favourably but not a pre-requisite.) The role will require the individual to sell to clients who only speak Bahasa and some who only speak English)
- Excellent media market and industry knowledge in Southeast Asia region and especially Indonesia.
- Thorough understanding of old and new media businesses, including in mobile and how media companies operate and generate revenue is required.
- Track record of building strong client relationships and a high level of customer service.
- 5+ years of successful sales experience
- Able to think openly and creatively, able to write business plans and evaluate business plans.
- USD c. 70,000 – 100K Base + Qly Commission
