Responsibilities:
- Developing robust, efficient code under the direction of CTO on an aggressive timetable for initial site release and beyond.
- Estimating effort required for tasks at start of each development sprint and working to deliver results on schedule.
- Participating in code review and bug triaging with other developers as part of internal quality control.
- Working with CTO and product managers to integrate successfully with external systems.
- Providing assistance to operations team as the platform is moved into release, helping triage and correct any problems (performance or functional) that may occur.
Requirements:
- Min Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
- 6+ years of relevant professional related experience.
- Fluent in English
- Currently (or very recently) writing code on a daily basis that is targeted to be deployed in production situations.
- Experience in high volume, high transaction, highly available environments.
- Experience with at least one of PhP or Java for web application and ecommerce.
- Familiarity with SQL and databases. In particular, MySQL experience is a strong plus.
- Experience developing for Linux (or other UNIX-like) environment.
- Able to highlight your experience either developing web-based products or interacting with external systems to extract and reuse information.
- Proven ability to work on medium- to large-projects as part of a team and able to deliver on a schedule.
- Experience working in an Agile environment would be a plus.
