Responsibilities:
- This position offers an excellent salary package commensurate with proven skills.
- Responsible for guide the visual output of the company, from magazine layouts, covers and photo shoots, to the visual branding collaterals of the company, and the visual aspects of its digital strategy, as well as commercial campaigns and event collaterals. He or she will assume overall responsibility for the output of all the company's designers and photographers, and work closely with the editorial, commercial and management departments of the company. He or she will also be expected to advice on the visual side of major events.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years in a senior role in the art department of a publishing house.
- Degree in any relevant qualification
- Highly organized and a natural leader, pragmatic and results-oriented
- Confident and outgoing, Even-tempered and able to handle stressful situations
- Well-spoken and presentable, comfortable with public speaking
Experience:
- In magazine layout and ad production.
- overseas experience / experience working with a licensor
- In creative commercial executions, helping visualize commercial concepts
- overseeing photo shoots including styling and hair/makeup; a bulging contacts book
- In producing digital magazines and online
- A natural eye for good design, corporate brand development
- Events planning is also desirable
Technical Ability:
- MS Office all programs: superior level
- Internet and email: superior level
- Adobe CS5 and similar (Mac): expert level
- Web design packages such as dreamweaver, superior level
- Pre-press production, familiarity with the technology
- Networking and server/cloud based technology
